Ironbirds Look Forward to a Busy Week of Ball!
Last Wednesday night the Belore Trailers Minor Mosquito team defeated the Strathroy Royals 24-6 for their second consecutive win of the week.
Saturday afternoon the Ironbirds took on the Sarnia Braves. Declan Minielly took to the bump and a few Ironbird errors, and timely hits the Braves took to a 4-0 lead. Colton Macpherson came into the game in the third inning and pitched his best game to date only allowing three earned runs over four innings before being relieved by Brandon Plaquet who also pitched a strong game. Ingersoll's managed to put up three hits all game behind Brody Huitema, Gavin Wright and Colton Macpherson. Final Score 12-1.
Tuesday the Ironbirds travel to Thorndale to take on the Dorchester Diamondbacks, then returning home on Wednesday to take on the top team in the league the St. Thomas Cardinals. Game times are at 6:00pm.
