The PeeWee Girls travelled to Denfield last night to face the Ilderton Athletics on (FINALLY!!) a warm night last night....
The Lady Ironbirds would take an early lead in the first inning topping the Athletics 3-0. The lead held until the bottom of the second when the Athletic bats woke up and they would take a small lead. But that wouldn't last long as a two-run hard hit by Amelia and fast wheels on base by Kiara, Brooke and Jaden would even up the score! Payton would steal home to tie up the score at 8 runs each. The final inning would see Payton do an amazing dive as Catcher to home plate to tag out an Ilderton player! Solid on the mound again was Amber!
Final score was 9-8 in favour of Ilderton. Great job girls! What a fantastic game! Next stop is Goderich on Monday night.....
