2020 Baseball Season / UPDATE- COVID-19
Submitted By B. Verbrugge on Monday, April 27, 2020
Hi to all our very patient Ironbird Families.
May is fast approaching which of course normally means the start of ball season.  We have been following Baseball Ontario’s directions as far as what the future of the 2020 season holds.  This week all team activities for baseball have been suspended until May 31, which of course will be looked at once again depending on Government guidelines and time frames.  In the mean time we would like to encourage you to practice those drills or catching a ball with someone in your household in your backyard just to make sure you’re ready for when season starts.

We have had to postpone Meet the Coach day until further notice as well as the draw date for the Raffle.  Please keep your stubs and once a new draw date has been set we will send out instructions on how to hand in your stubs.

We have had to cancel the Co-Ed Tournament we were hoping to host as a fundraiser this year but we will have everything ready to go for one next year so keep those teams together adults!

An umpire clinic has been set up for anyone 12 and up who are interested in umpiring this year.  Please email Becci at [email protected] for further info.  This clinic is also for all returning umpires as well. We are so excited to get a season up and running but will only do so if it is safe for all.  If however, we are not able to get a season in we will be offering a refund or a credit towards next year.  These options will be offered once we know if we play or don’t play ball this year.  Stay safe and well everyone!
