Ironbirds Late Rally Isn't Enough
Wednesday night the Ingersoll Ironbirds hosted the West London Tin Caps in LDBA league action. A very sloppy defensive performance by the Ironbirds in the games first two innings was the difference in the game. The home side found themselves down 11-2 after two innings. After settling in the Ironbirds began to chip away at the Tin Caps lead and trail by only three runs going into the sixth inning. A few miscues and timely hitting by the Tin Caps in the sixth inning secured the 19-13 victory.
Leading the way offensively for the Ironbirds were Colton Macpherson 4 hits, Westin Matsumoto, Nathan Kapitor, Sam House, Colten Cumberland and Charlie Ashman with 3 hits apiece. The Defensive player of the game was Ryan Wolfe who came in and made some spectacular plays defensively in the infield to help spark the Ironbird team.
