Coming Home....
Ironbirds Finish 5-0 on Tri-County Swing!

Sunday afternoon the Macnab Transit Pee Wee boys travelled to Kitchener to complete their five game road swing through the Tri-County region of the Inter-County loop.
Bottom of the first inning the "Birds" were flying...  Gavin Bryant lead off with single, followed by another by Davin Gray, then the bases were cleared with a two run double by Nolan McCrossin. Zack Fishback kept the train rolling with another single, then Wyatt Adkins pushed them both across to give the Ironbirds a 4-0 lead in the top half of the frame. In the bottom half of the first inning the Panthers were able to split the difference with some timely hits off lefty starter Evan Hopson. Hopson again fell into some trouble in the second and third inning before being relieved by Eli Newson.  Newson got off to a slow start but eventually settled in to bridge some key mid innings keeping the Ironbird lead in tact.  The final three innings were left in the hands of McCrossin who struck out seven and allowed three hits.
Ingersoll's offense was firing on all cylinders from the third inning on behind some key RBI hits from Gray (double), Eli Newson, Evan Hopson, Tye House, Zack Fishback, Benham Martin and Bryant.
Ingersoll finished the game winning the wild offensive game 15-11.

The second place Pee Wee Ironbirds look forward returning home when they take on the first place London Badgers on Wednesday night at Victoria Park - first pitch is set for 8:00pm.
