Another Road Game...Another Team Success
The Funnell Insurance Group Lady Ironbirds travelled to beautiful St. Mary's tonight.
A great effort right from the start with a run scored! The girls lit up the base paths stealing left, right and centre and don't forget, home plate again!!
Great work by the pitching staff and fantastic work behind the plate! Infield and outfield both were sharp! The bats came alive in the 4th inning building the girls confidence at the plate. We came up against a very good St. Mary's team. When all was said and done, it was a 15-5 final score in favour of St. Mary's but a lot of lessons were learned, and a great effort by the whole team!! Way to go Girls! Next stop, Lucan on Tuesday May 24!!
